Florida 2019 | Day 2 | Epcot

Day 2 — our first full day — began with a great character breakfast at Garden Grill in the Land Pavilion at Epcot. Mickey, Pluto, Chip & Dale hosted a great all-you-care-to-eat family style breakfast that consisted of eggs, bacon, potatoes and Mickey waffles! Plus, POG juice mimosas! We loved all the characters, but especially Chip, who gave us a great "dramatic chipmunk" pose.
After breakfast, we took a leisurely stroll around Epcot. We rode Living with the Land, since there was no wait. Soarin' was already over an hour wait, so we skipped it. We ride that all the time in DCA, so we didn't feel like we were missing out too much.
We then spent some time exploring The Seas with Nemo & Friends. Our favorites were the two manatee.
It was getting a bit crowded, and I was starting to feel guilty about leaving Barry alone. We checked on him via his personal webcam. He was sitting on his bed CRYING. He doesn't really howl a lot — except when he's near a passing fire engine. So, we decided to take a break and go visit the little drama queen.
He seemed very happy. We took him out to the big fenced in yard and let him run around for a bit. Satisfied that he wasn't completely depressed, we headed back to the Polynesian for a bit of relaxing by the pool.
I had my first Frosty Pineapple! This is the Dole Whip smoothie with rum and it was delicious. I also tried the lime margarita made with lime Dole Whip and tequila. It was alright.
After a quick freshen up, we went back to Epcot to enjoy Illuminations for the last time ever. There were only a couple more nights of performances, but this would be the last time we would see it. We also strolled around World Showcase and tried a few bites from the Food & Wine Festival.
We called it a night and jumped on the Monorail to head back to the TTC and then a quick walk back to the Poly.
